Spring Science week
LO I can observe and describe weather and changes associated with spring.
The children were provided with a checklist of different features that are commonly associated
with spring- insects e.g., ladybirds, temperature, new grass/leaves growing, etc. They were asked to tally them off
when they saw/felt a feature associated with Spring.
Some curiosity questions some of the children had:
Q: Why do Ladybirds hide in winter?
Q: Why do the leaves grow again in spring?
Q: Why do we only get daffodils in spring time?
Q: Why do bumblebees like flowers?
Q: Why are bird nests in the trees?
Q: How does wind happen?
Q: How does it get warmer in spring time?
Below are a few photos of our Spring Walk.
