Welcome to Year 3!

Welcome to our summer term. 

This term we are venturing back to the magical and mystical Ancient Egypt.

We will not only be exploring the lives of Ancient Egyptian people but also their beliefs in the afterlife. 

Our English will also be centred on Ancient Egypt. Our first book, 'The Egyptian Cinderella' will introduce the topic along with a wide range of vocabulary. We will then go on to learn about Howard Carter and write an autobiography of his famous discovery. We shall also be debating and discussing the mystery around Tutankhamun's death. 

In maths we are continuing to learn about measurement, time and money.

Important Information

PE Day - PE will be on a Tuesday morning. Children should come to school in the correct coloured PE kit. 

Spellings - Spellings will be handed out on a Monday and the spelling test will take place on a Friday. 

Homework - Please ensure one task from the homework sheet is completed each week and handed into school.
